Precision Service & Pumps Inc. currently has exciting opportunities for enthusiastic Field Crew Technicians/Helpers/Labourers to join our team based out of Abbotsford, B.C., on a full-time basis. Frequent travel throughout BC and occasionally into the Yukon will be required.

In this position, you will be responsible for assisting the Lead Hand in providing quality and timely service for customer jobs to their specifications, following PSP policy and safety procedures on the job site. 

Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and installing groundwater and wastewater pumping and distribution equipment (valves, controls, power supply, etc.)
  • Mobilizing at the shop to ensure the required equipment is loaded to perform a quality job to the customer's specifications in a timely and accurate manner, and demobilizing after the job is complete
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely recording of all information including, but not limited to, work orders, well tests, daily journals, service reports, and pump sets
  • Ensuring trucks and equipment meet all legal requirements for travel, indicating any non-conformance to management
More About You

In order to qualify for this role, you will join us with a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract. The ability to drive manual transmission while towing a large trailer or a five-tonne truck with crane would be an asset, but not required. Possessing a Class 1 driver's license, previous mechanic experience, basic first aid training, WHMIS training, and electrical/welding/plumbing fundamentals would be considered assets.

As our ideal candidate for this role, you will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt to change. Your judgment, organizational, and analytical skills will allow you to proactively handle any issues that might arise while on the job. You'll also have excellent customer service skills, a can-do attitude, and a real passion for learning.
