What You’ll Do

  • Opening, closing and organizing files
  • Prepare and draft various legal documents, correspondence and agreements
  • Maintain calendars and set appointments
  • Maintain and update client files
  • Conduct BC Online searches
  • Organize and prepare for meetings, mediations, gearings, applications and trials
  • Prepare trial books and books of documents
  • Communicate with opposing counsels to obtain necessary information
  • Use various databases to conduct legal research
  • Other administrative tasks as required

What You Bring

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in general litigation work in Family Law
  • LAA certificate required
  • Solid understanding of Supreme and Provincial Court Family Rules
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs (Word and Outlook)
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle various tasks while prioritizing workloads and meeting deadlines
