While previous experience working in food service or retail as a barista, server, sales associate, cashier, team member, or customer sales representative as a manager is always helpful and appreciated, what is most important is who you are.

The job

We are sure that you have an idea about what working with us is like, but just in case here are some of the highlights on what your job will entail:

GENERAL

  • Partnering with each restaurant Facilities leader to support their market General Managers and Department Managers with their individual targets, following up on their progress, and providing coaching and direction to improve the results relating to overall facility maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and secure work environment for guests, coworkers, and yourself, leveraging your knowledge of safety regulations and equipment.
  • Working with the Restaurant Facilities Department Lead to support each restaurant's Maintenance Staff.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with equipment service vendors and outside services vendors.


EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE - REPAIRS
  • Plumbing & Electrical - repair minor problems where suitable or coordinate vendor to repair and follow up
  • Refrigeration - Coordinate with vendor to ensure proper maintenance of equipment and any required repairs on Restaurant equipment such as HVAC, Refrigeration, Ice Machine and Kitchen Equipment
  • Coordination and follow up of vendors to repair equipment when/where needed
  • Painting, misc. repairs to tiles, walls etc., pressure washing, exterior building cleanliness, and small equipment calibration (e.g., Coffee machines, cream/juice machines)


SUPERVISING RESTAURANT MAINTENANCE TEAMS
  • Recruit, train, develop, coordinate activities, scheduling, and supervise the kitchen maintenance teams and outside maintenance staff.
  • Work some late evenings, overnights and early morning shifts to oversee the cleanliness and performance standards of the kitchen maintenance staff.
  • Work with each restaurants' management team to provide structured feedback, performance evaluations for kitchen maintenance.
