Fabricator – Manufacturing
A family run Langley based manufacturer of architectural and structural precast concrete products is looking for a fabricator to join their growing team. You will be putting together components made of steel from shop drawings.
THE GOOD STUFF:
-$20 to $24/hr based on experience;
-2 weeks vacation;
-Group extended health, dental and vision care plan;
-Steady long term employment;
-Large reputable family run company;
-Must have experience with grinding, oxy acetylene torch, plasma gun, drill press, and band saw;
-Must be comfortable reading blueprints;
-Able to fabricate steel forms per drawings;
-Willingness to work in a plant environment which can be dirty and intense;
-Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly;
-Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
-Looking for a long term stable opportunity;
-You have long tenures on your resume;
-Welding experience considered a strong asset;
-Other construction experience (carpentry) considered a strong asset;
-Manufacturing experience considered a strong asset;
Responsible for all the steel components and how they fit together using shop drawings. You do end up welding the components together, but that isn’t the focus, the fit and shape that they create is.
