Job Description

Horizon Recruitment Inc. is conducting the search for an Exploration Manager on behalf of a growing BC-based mining company with an expanding portfolio of active mine sites and exploration projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead exploration strategy and field programs across multiple prospective sites.

This 12 month contract position offers long-term growth potential and the opportunity to directly influence the company’s discovery and development success.

Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of exploration strategies across regional and site-specific targets
Plan and manage drilling programs, geochemical sampling, geophysical surveys, mapping, and data analysis
Supervise and mentor a team of geologists, field technicians, and contractors
Oversee permitting, budgeting, and contractor selection for exploration activities
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all field operations
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including corporate development, environmental, and permitting teams
Interpret and integrate geological data to prioritize drill targets and make recommendations for project advancement
Prepare technical reports and present exploration results to senior leadership

Requirements:

University degree in Geology, Earth Sciences or related discipline; P.Geo designation preferred
8+ years of mineral exploration experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
Proven track record in greenfield or brownfield exploration, preferably in precious or base metals
Strong understanding of Canadian regulatory requirements, permitting, and Indigenous relations
Experience in remote field settings and managing logistics for field programs
Excellent communication, team leadership, and decision-making skills
Willingness to travel and work at site as required

Rewards:

$85/hr target rate.
