The Executive Assistant provides complex administrative support to the Vice President, Indigenous Health (IH) and Chief Planning and Quality Officer (CPQO). The incumbent is responsible for coordinating, organizing and providing administrative support activities related to organizational planning, labor relations, human resources and management within established policies and procedures.
Starting salary will be approximately from $62,239 to $77,799 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Qualfications
• Post-secondary diploma in Business or Office Administration plus five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive experience including three (3) years supporting senior executives and in contract/project coordination, preferably in a health care setting;
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
• Strong knowledge and practical skills in project coordination/management, research and evaluation.
• Demonstrated superior proficiency in the use of desktop computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to type 50 w.pm.
• Ability to communicate in a clear and understandable manner, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to liaise in a professional manner with all levels of staff and the public.
• Ability to apply time management skills to prioritize, complete or redirect assignments in a manner that optimizes departmental effectiveness and contributes to organizational success.
• Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and proactively to ensure administrative needs of the VP Indigenous Health and CPQO are being met.
• Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, complex and dynamic environment.
• Ability to anticipate and initiate action, as required.
• Demonstrated problem-solving/conceptual skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to research, compile and coordinate information on a variety of topics.
• Ability to exercise judgment, tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a confidential or sensitive nature.
• Knowledge of trends, developments and priorities in Indigenous health issues and/or knowledge of Indigenous people.
• Ability to monitor and manage internal and external relationships.
