Evaluation Lead, Immunization Programs BC Centre for Disease Control

What you'll do - Lead, conduct and/or coordinate multiple evaluation projects relevant to vaccine uptake and acceptance by conducting literature reviews, designing and implementing studies, collecting and analyzing data, and writing reports.
- Assess the effectiveness of current immunization promotion strategies and develop appropriate evaluation plans using readily available data as well as data requiring new acquisition.
- Contribute to applied public health research and ensure new understanding and knowledge is shared by publishing findings in recognized/peer-reviewed scientific journals or presentations at professional conferences.
- Make evidence-based recommendations to Communicable Disease and Immunization Service at BCCDC, BC health authorities, Ministry staff, and federal/ provincial/ territorial partners to develop, coordinate, and implement evidence-based provincial and regional strategies for selected vaccine programs and target populations to increase coverage.
- Provide guidance and direction in compiling interpretative reports based on quantitative and qualitative evaluation analysis.
- Conduct and advise regarding complex statistical analyses, including multivariate analysis using SPSS on complex data sets.
- Work collaboratively with other department members to support the identification and development of meaningful performance and outcome measures.
What you bring Qualifications
- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Masters or Ph.D. in social sciences or health-related sciences and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in related research/evaluation/decision support in a public health environment.

- Expert knowledge of performance outcome measurement tools and techniques and program evaluation (e.g., program logic models, impact analysis)
- Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission's 94 Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Sight Report (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), and Reclaiming Power and Place Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls calls for justice, and how they intersect across the health care system.
- Abilty to support team members on their learning journey, ensuring education strategy for team/department to implement Indigenous Cultural Safety at a practical level.
- Ability to work collaboratively with appropriate Indigenous teams/departments to ensure ICS lens applied holistically.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).

Job Type: Regular Full-time
Salary Range: $86,398 - $124,197 per year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate's relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.
