Your new company
Our client, a group of companies in the Lower Mainland is looking to add an experienced Estimator to their pre-construction team. Working out of their Burnaby office, you will be responsible for bidding Civil & Infrastructure projects across BC.

Specialising in Civil Infrastructure, Excavation & Shoring projects, they have operated across the Lower Mainland for over 60 years and have worked on a variety of projects including; Roads, Utilities, Mass Excavations, Subdivisions, Shoring and Foundations. Due to sustained growth they need to hire an estimator to assist in the acquisition of projects across the Lower Mainland.

Your new role
As Estimator, responsibilities will include pro-actively searching for projects to bid, quantity take offs, assisting with project scheduling and costing and liaising with clients and trades. Once a bid is successful, you will pass onto the Project Management team for construction. You will be comfortable dealing with multiple estimates at any one time. Reporting to the Chief Estimator, you will also assist in the mentoring of Junior Members of staff.

What you'll need to succeed

The right candidate will have at least 5 years Estimating experience, working in the Civil Construction sector, with experience dealing with multiple, complex bids. You will hold a Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering and be proficient with Estimating software.
