Our client, an exclusive tax and trust firm located in downtown Vancouver, are known to provide the highest quality service to both their private and corporate clients. A substantial focus of this firm is the innovative organizing for private clients regarding taxes, trusts, and estate planning.
This client is looking to add an intermediate level Legal Assistant for their Estate Litigation Department. In this position, you will be working for two Associates and will require 2 – 5 years of previous experience in estate litigation. You will also have a desire to grow, be challenged, and make a true contribution to a team setting.
2+ years of Wills and Estates law experience
Legal assistant certificate from an accredited institution
Knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure relating to estates
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
Excellent interpersonal and client service skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities while paying attention to detail
Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented atmosphere
Strong technical skills (including PC Law, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
