The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, directing, monitoring and control of engineering – design - manufacture projects of custom industrial process heating equipment a day-to-day basis.

This individual will oversee the activities of a group of professional engineers and designers, skilled trades and project support staff.


The Project Manager will:

  • Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of internal Inproheat projects with high degree of technical complexity involving an in-house and external project team
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and report on the completion progress of each to the management team
  • Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
  • Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with project members, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines
  • Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project development to complete documents on schedule
  • Work with the Controller, Accounting, Department Managers, Engineering and Design staff to ensure smooth project execution
  • Implement QA/QC procedures
  • Execute training for personnel as established by strategic plans
  • Supervise project staff and act as mentor for less-experienced Project Managers
  • Assist in maintaining firm engineering permit
  • Perform other duties as needed

This position is based in the Vancouver Office.

Remote work is accommodated, with occasional in-office work when required.

Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.



  • Degree in Engineering
  • 10+ years of work experience since graduation
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Registration with, or eligible for, 
  • Professional registration with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia


Required Skills: 

  • Competent in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate project engineering activities
  • Ability to manage work flow of self and others
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Able to organize project data and information for efficient reference and retrieval
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers – written and oral
  • Able to assess project trends and implement corrective actions when necessary
  • Ability to understand the detailed engineering process and time lines for common tasks
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Word
  • Experience with MS Project
  • Previous experience or close exposure to custom design and manufacturing processes
  • Preparation of business proposals
  • Experience working in and/or with EPCs/EPCMs
  • PMP certification
  • Knowledge of the resource industries
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor CAD software capabilities
