WSP is currently seeking a motivated Project Engineer (Intermediate) to join our established Victoria Municipal Infrastructure team at the multi-disciplinary Uptown office. Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure, this position will be responsible to work on municipal projects with a focus on private, public and First Nations clients involving water and wastewater systems, storm water management, municipal roads and land development. As part of the design team you will deal directly with clients and approval agencies and work towards a Project Manager role.

• Preliminary and detailed design of civil works for water supply systems, sanitary sewers, and stormwater systems including linear works, valves chambers, and pump stations;
• Hydraulic modelling and planning studies for water, sanitary, and stormwater;
• Construction services including site reviews and contract administration;
• Client management;
• Proposal development; and
• Other duties as assigned.

• An undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university, or a Diploma of Technology in Civil Engineering

• Professional Engineer or Engineering Licensee (Eng.L.). designation with minimum 4 years of planning and design of municipal infrastructure with emphasis on major water, wastewater and drainage projects;

• Professional Engineer, Engineering Licensee or eligibility for registration in EGBC is required;

• You are a self-motivated leader with excellent verbal and written communication skills;

• Experience at contract administration and construction reviews;

• Experience and aptitude for report writing, business development, marketing and proposal writing;

• Excellent organizational and collaborative skills;

• Committed team player;

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, and;

• Valid Class 5 BC Drivers Licence.
