As an Energy Coordinator
, you are a key member of our Energy & Environmental Sustainability (EES) portfolio
within LMFM. You will report to an Energy Manager within EES and will be responsible for technical leadership while supporting the various Energy Management tasks for the entire EES portfolio.
You will coordinate a variety of energy management, sustainability and utility projects across the local health authorities. We are looking for a driven individual to work with partners to achieve energy management and sustainability goals and optimal energy use at the various sites through site improvements.Want to know more about what you will do every single day?
•Coordinate and manage assigned energy management/sustainability projects by scheduling project activity in consultation with the Energy Manager, staff internal and external to the Organizations and suppliers in order to establish labour and material costs and availability. •Prepare business reports, memos, proposals, business cases and presentations to the Energy Manager, Director, or other partners to secure consensus for energy conservation projects. •Assess energy and consumption baselines and reports on the effectiveness of various energy initiatives. •Coordinate the evaluation of energy project performance by consulting with the Energy Specialist, other Energy staff and other staff in the Organizations and providing input as required. •Consult with user departments on project specifications/requirements including the interpretation of applicable drawings, material and labour costs; prepare and submit reports to the Energy Manager. •Identify standard methodologies related to the technical, process, and behavioral aspects of energy management •Support the development of technical standards and guidelines to enable the integration of energy and sustainability goals and criteria into new construction and renovation projects. •Collaborate with the Energy Specialist with initial and ongoing energy assessments of each facility identifying energy projects and undertaking studies of energy consumption and improvements. Are you passionate about joining our team? We will be looking for you to have:
•A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Building, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management •A certificate in sustainable energy management •3 to 5 years' recent related experience in energy management in a large complex organization •Experience in commercial building systems such as electrical, mechanical, energy or automation will be considered as an asset. •An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be acceptable.
You are a self-starter with demonstrated ability to lead multiple deadlines and priorities; solve problems; and apply technical knowledge to support energy projects from identification through to implementation.

or Central City
in Surrey, BC.
