Position Information
Location New Westminster/Coquitlam Campus Salary Range
$58,304 to $65,630 annually. Salary and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
The Opportunity
You are a pro at cultivating relationships and partnerships with businesses, non-profits and local governments to create work opportunities that make Work Integrated Learning programs (Co-operative Education, Business Internships, applied research, etc.), possible. You also thrive with working systematically to implement department plans to maintain a relations-based opportunity funnel for students and graduates by engaging with the business community to build awareness of Douglas College's programs, student profiles and how these can address the regional market's recruiting objectives. You will report to the Manager, Business Development and provide operational and strategic support to the Career Centre and its programs.

Additional Information
This regular full-time (35 hours per week) position is available starting May 20, 2025. Regular hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Shift days and times may change depending on the Department's need. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required. The position is located at the New Westminster campus; however, successful candidate must be available for occasional work at the Coquitlam campus.

WHAT IT TAKES
• Completion of four years of post-secondary education in a relevant field such as business, marketing or sales, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience;
• A minimum of two years of related work experience such as working as an account manager, business development lead or job developer, ideally in an employment support centre or career centre;
• Knowledge of the post-secondary career services environment including services, trends, programs, on-campus recruitment and unique challenges;
• Knowledge of a wide range of industries and business sectors and ability to identify target companies with entry-level opportunities for students completing Douglas College programs;
• Demonstrated networking skills with ability to identify, engage and retain long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders; including providing guidance to and managing expectations of stakeholders;
