THE DEPARTMENT

The Mission of the eCommerce Insights department is to provide actionable insights on our eCommerce experience.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As the leader of the eCommerce Insights department, you will lead, motivate and co-ordinate multiple teams to deliver usable insights that drive strategic decision making for our eCommerce business. You will play a pivotal role in synthesizing insights from various sources and teams (ie. data, research, VOC, qualitative assessments) to uncover and communicate opportunities to improve eCommerce performance. THE JOB

As a key member of the eCommerce Division and reporting directly into the SVP of Ecommerce, the Head of eCommerce Insights will:
  • Develop and manage the eCommerce Division's Insights strategy and roadmap to drive the eCommerce business
  • Identify, gather, and prioritize strategic business questions to be answered with insights on behalf of the eCommerce Division, by leveraging your retail ecommerce expertise, thought leadership and in engaging eCommerce stakeholders
  • Provide leadership and co-ordination to leverage the Data & Analytics, Optimization, User Research, Finance and Voice of Customer teams as appropriate to answer business questions and uncover insights
  • Synthesize analyses from various sources (ie. data, research, VOC, qualitative assessments) into a cohesive, structured set of actionable insights
  • Create accurate and easy to understand narratives based on findings to communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Work closely with business partners to drive actions based on insights delivered and in measuring the impacts of actions
  • Partner with cross functional teams to enhance processes, frameworks, tools and infrastructure
  • Manage the departmental resources, tools, and partners to scale the function


QUALIFICATIONS
The Head of eCommerce Insights has:
  • Proven skills & experience:
    • Retail ecommerce business expertise
    • Leadership and ability to use influence to lead without direct authority
    • Project management
    • Crafting stories with data to articulate what is happening and why
    • Experience coordinating and/or managing qualitative research studies
    • Synthesizing insights from quantitative and qualitative data
    • Strong executive communication skills
    • Analyzing complex data sets
    • Experience with direct reports and people leadership

  • The skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of shared business outcomes
