THE TEAM

The mission of the Digital Experience department is to design a seamless eCommerce experience that is highly functional and usable.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing, and our Digital Experience team is growing with it. You will play a pivotal role in setting the vision, identifying design opportunities, and directing the creation of solutions to deliver an extraordinary eCommerce experience . THE ROLE

As the Director of Digital Experience, you will:
  • Articulate the vision for the eCommerce experience
  • Help shape the strategic direction of our digital experience and work with the teams on bringing that direction to life
  • Work with cross-functional partners to ensure our experience strategy represents all important aspects of our business
  • Oversee a design system that nurtures design quality, consistency, and scalability
  • Inspire and motivate a team of designers and researchers to do their best work, mentoring and developing them for continued success on the team and at Aritzia
  • Work with the appropriate Business Support partners to seamlessly lead the day-to-day function of the department in support of corporate objectives, while enabling progressive career development and an incredible employee experience


THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Director of Digital Experience has:
  • Proven and best-in-class skills, education, and/or applicable certifications including:
    • 8+ years leading design teams
    • Experience defining and optimizing UX processes
  • A strong understanding of design processes and tools, with a fluency that allows you to confidently conduct conversations about the value of various approaches
  • A deep understanding of user experience research and its integration into digital product teams
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, with an ability to articulate a vision to cross-functional teams
  • Strong execution skills and an ability to drive action and accountability
  • The ability to adapt to change and work through ambiguity with ease
  • A commitment to learn, apply, champion, and enrich Aritzia's Values, Business and People Leadership principles
  • The skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of shared business outcomes
  • The ability to set clear objectives and design a strategy that inspires the team
  • A dedication to quality and investing in results and new business opportunities that add value at all times
