Large, independent retailer in Western Canada has a new, full-time opening in their corporate head office for an experienced Executive Assistant. The position plays a key role in the day-to-day functions of the President and Executive Vice President and also acts a resource for the rest of the management team.
Manage and organize the executives’ schedules
Act as the point of contact and executive coordination for the executive team
Draft letters, memos, e-mails and reports
Coordinate travel arrangements
Manage a variety of bills and invoices, bank and credit card accounts as well as expense reimbursement
Participate in interdepartmental projects and committees as needed
Research information for the completion of special projects
Making sure that office equipment such as: photocopiers, fax machine, coffee machine etc. run smoothly
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience with managing schedules, coordinating travel, booking meetings, monitoring emails, etc
Experience with event planning for company social events
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Proactive and self-directed
Demonstrate strong initiative, organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively
Experience in the retail industry preferred
Ability to juggle multiple priorities
