The Role:

The Director of IT Infrastructure is responsible for providing people and technical leadership for a team of IT professionals whom are responsible for supporting the company's strategic planning, engineering and projects. In addition to providing Tier 3 support, this team is also responsible for the daily operation of our firewalls and network infrastructure.

Duties also include collaborating with Business, Product Management, and Development teams working towards aligning company IT systems to their requirements and ensuring high-availability to both employees and customers.

Role Responsibilities:

  • People leadership:
    • Individual mentorship and professional development
    • Performance management & reviews
    • Resource planning and staffing, including interviewing and hiring recommendations.
    • Team communication

  • Business engagement:
    • Budgeting
    • Procurement and vendor management
    • Software and license management
    • Contributes to corporate IT strategies and policies
    • Contributes to the analysis of complex business needs and recommends technical solutions

  • Technology leadership:
    • Reducing duplication of effort
    • Develop, document, and enforcing standards
    • Capacity planning, forecasting, and management
    • Identify and recommend new technology solutions
    • Enhance the flow of information throughout the IT Systems
    • Strategic IT projects including: planning, documenting, tracking, and executing. Example, infrastructure deployment automation
    • Application support for all IT Operations owned infrastructure components
    • Metrics for hardware, software and storage which meet capacity planning
    • Maintain effective Change Management policies and practices
    • Dev-ops culture towards continuous improvement and automation

  • Tier 3 support including:
    • Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Chronic Problem investigation, resolution, and management

  • Networking & Firewall Management including:
    • Firewall and network infrastructure design
    • Core networking and firewall operations

  • Data Center Operations including:
    • Hardware management
    • Inventory and spares management
    • Capacity Planning
    • * Excludes facility management


  • 5+ years of experience in IT leadership
  • 5+ years of IT infrastructure experiences including multiple data centers
  • 10+ years general IT experience
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate efforts across departments
  • Strong understanding of uninterruptible environments
  • Significant project management, problem-solving and presentation experience
  • Strong process and process-improvement orientation
  • High-energy team player with a positive attitude
  • Calm disposition under pressure
  • Sound understanding and technical knowledge of current network, firewall, operating systems, hardware, software, virtualization, and standards including converged infrastructure
