What You'll Do
  • Build and develop a high performing Business Development team
  • Create and execute on a strategic plan that identifies suppliers which fulfill specific category expansion and development needs
  • Aggressively source key strategic suppliers; support team in identifying key influencers and decision makers
  • Strategically develop a large pipeline at scale
  • Evaluate the economic and strategic costs and benefits of partnerships to prioritize opportunities
  • Ensure team collaboration with Account Management to ensure vendors are transitioned successfully
  • Build strong relationships, both internally and externally

What You'll Achieve
  • Build and develop a high performing Business Development team
  • Elevate the platform by signing key strategic partners in each category
  • Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships that drive new revenue-generating channels
  • Meaningful contribution to overall supplier strategy
  • Ensure broad selection with suppliers in every Tier across all categories.
What You'll Need
  • 10+ years general business or sales experience focused on business development
  • Experience working with e-commerce or platform organizations
  • Results-oriented and supportive leader – proven success in growing and developing a Business Development team
  • Strong collaboration skills with demonstrated experience building and managing relationships, both internally and externally
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing abilities. Experience negotiating with vendors on a global scale.
  • Experience setting and managing financial targets and goals, and using financial analysis to make strategic category decisions
  • Well-developed analysis skills and the ability to identify business and financial insights from sales and customer data
  • Post-secondary degree in business, MBA preferred
  • Experience in corporate development preferred.
