We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Clinical Dietitian Services department.

In accordance with the vision and values of the organization, the Dietitian is a member of a multidisciplinary health care team and provides nutrition care and support to individuals, patients, clients, residents and groups according to established policies, standards and procedures.
Utilizing clinical techniques and knowledge, the Dietitian provides nutrition services through: nutrition assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, goal setting and monitoring; counseling and education programs; consults and communicates with the multidisciplinary care teams; acts as a resource to other health professionals and communities within Northern Health.
The Dietitian provides input to the Manager or designate by participating in the development of nutrition practice guidelines and procedures; research and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the facility and program.
The Dietitian liaises and advises food service staff on patient/client/resident care issues and menu development.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Tuesday and Thursday, Days, 08:30 to 16:30

New Wage: As of April 1, 2024, the new wage is: $40.75 - $50.87/hour

Terraceview Lodge is a 99 bed Long-term care Facility with 4 care communities: Lakelse, Copper, Skeena and Nass. The facility is comprised of 90 long-term care beds, 3 respite, 3 hospice palliative care beds, plus 9 short stay beds available for respite and convalescence stays. Terraceview Lodge provides Recreational Therapy Services on a daily basis. Pastoral and Spiritual Services are available to residents.

Qualfications
• Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
• Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
• Registrant of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
• Two years of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience suitable to the facility or program is required.
• Practice specific requirements and experience in programs applicable to practice area such as: Diabetes Education, Nutrition Support, and Kidney and Chronic Disease Management Programs.
• Restricted Activity A and B
• Valid BC Driver's License

• Equipment: Demonstrated computer skills including the use of Meditech and Windows based programs. Demonstrated data analysis skills including appropriate data analysis and reporting tools. Demonstrated ability in the use of e-mail and word processing. Ability to operate other related equipment as required in the specific practice area.
