Job Description
6 month Snowflake Data Engineer contract role with a growing team.
As a result of growth our client is looking to add a contract data engineer to their people analytics team. In this role you will design and build secure, scalable data integration and analytics solutions that empower people-focused initiatives across the organization. This role focuses on developing and maintaining robust data pipelines using Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, and Python, while ensuring secure handling of sensitive data with tools like Databricks Unity Catalog. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, architects, engineers, analysts, and business partners to deliver high-quality, governed data solutions. Ideal candidates have strong cloud data engineering experience and a security-first mindset, along with a passion for building resilient and scalable systems.

You:
You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably within cloud-based environments
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks, SQL, and Python for building scalable data pipelines
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake and Azure Data Factory for cloud data integration and transformation
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, including secure development, deployment, and monitoring workflows
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or BICEP, and scripting with PowerShell
- Proven experience working with data encryption, access control, and governance frameworks (e.g., Databricks Unity Catalog) for handling sensitive data
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, and related CI/CD pipelines
This role pays between $75-95 per hour.
