Reporting to the Cybersecurity and Architecture Manager, the Cyber Security Analyst 2 is an intermediate-level technical position that provides cyber security consultative services, responds to incidents, evaluates, and makes recommendations related to cyber security risk management, and participates in the development and implementation of cyber security awareness campaigns. Responsibilities
• Handle day-to-day threats as they happen, diagnose, investigate against viruses and intrusions. • Perform regular Internet Security Risk assessments; detect security alerts and vulnerabilities; and provide recommendations on mitigation plans. • Maintain the enterprise cyber security risk register. • Participate in the development and implementation of annual cyber security awareness campaigns. • Perform cyber security forensic activities as required. • Conduct vulnerability scanning for all systems including PCI and Internet facing systems. Qualifications
• Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Information Systems, plus 3 years of cyber security experience; OR a diploma in Computer Science or Information Systems, plus 6 years of cyber security experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. • CISSP, GIAC, or an equivalent security certification. • Candidates under consideration will be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge in: Conditions of Employment
• Security threat and risk assessment modelling and event and incident management. • Antivirus, IPS, and firewall configurations. • Email, web, and cloud security. • Identity and access management. • Public key infrastructure, encryption, and tokenization. • You are able to identify, assess, and prioritize cyber security risks and intrusions. • You will have a good ability to communicate both orally and in writing and able to conduct presentations and training sessions on related cyber security issues. • You are able to work well within a team environment. • This position will involve completion of a Police Information Check. • Experience with Palo Alto Next Generation Firewall with V9.x or newer is considered an asset.
