The Port Hardy Museum and Archives is a small local museum operated by a non-profit society. It contains materials related to local culture, history, pre-history and natural history of the area, as well as a small gift shop. As the only full-time employee, the curator/ director will have the overall responsibility of all aspects of the museum and gift shop. The ability to write grant applications and work without daily supervision is essential. A complete job description is available on request.
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with a major area of study in a field(i.e. Museum studies) related to the museum's operation and three years experience at the management level. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and e-mail programs. Must be able to provide a clean criminal record check.
