The Prince Rupert Court Administration is an established and close-knit team of professionals who bring diverse expertise to their work. Our team, which includes court clerks, a registry supervisor, Justice of the Peace/Registry Technicians, and court administration, collaborates to ensure access to justice and provide timely service. The Role

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum of two (2) years of administrative support or customer service experience OR
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with clerical duties, office experience or related education.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a cashier or in a cash handling role. Accounting training and/or education may also be considered.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in keyboarding, data entry, word processing, and working with standard computer applications and software programs (e.g., Windows, MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Keyboard speed of 40 words per minute.
- Valid B.C. drivers' licence.
Preference may be given to candidates with:
- Experience in court programs and applications (e.g., JUSTIN, CEIS, ARC, CTAS, CCD).
- Experience as a Court Clerk and/or Registry Clerk.
- One year of previous work experience in a legal environment.
- Post-secondary education in business administration or business courses.
PROVISOS:
- May be required to work flexible hours, including varied shifts and overtime on short notice.
- May be required to travel, including travel in adverse weather conditions and work in other geographical areas, including circuit court locations. Must have reliable transportation and/or be willing to travel with others.
- May be required to use personal vehicle.
