Position Description:

G&F Financial Group is seeking an organized and quick-learning individual who is experienced in lending and thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our team as Credit Services Partner. This important role collaborates with the retail branches and commercial team to provide an exceptional member experience. The incumbent utilizes expertise in the lending process to efficiently administer the funding of credit applications and minimize risk, liaising with all internal, external and third-party stakeholders. The Credit Services Partner follows Lean Principles to ensure continuous efficiency in a culture committed to continuous improvement.



  • Performs funding and loan maintenance on new and existing retail and commercial credit applications including payouts, credits, closeouts, applicable searches and annual reviews.
  • Prepares documents for existing loans (including mortgage and registered security renewals) and completes security reviews.
  • Monitor and balance relevant general ledger and third party accounts as required.
  • Completes and processes a variety of regular and ad-hoc reports; monitors and maintains system and third party reports.
  • Provides support and advice to branch staff, acting as the key contact for all credit administration. Responds to inquiries from all branches and third-party stakeholders including financial institutions, credit granting agencies, lawyers and notaries.
  • Maintains up to date with current practices and regulations; accordingly identifies improvements to processes and practices.

 Qualifications Required

  • Post-secondary business diploma or degree
  • 3-5 years’ related experience with at least 1 year of lending experience
  • Understanding of financial principles and current economic environment
  • Proactive and committed to service excellence with the inclination for process improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; strong time management, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Sound judgment and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Demonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of products
