What- the Role:
Our client is planning to hire a new Cost Accountant to join their Accounting & Finance team. Although this role is based in the Accounting department, there will be a great deal of interaction with colleagues in other departments- namely Sales, Operations, and Purchasing. The role will entail the creation, maintenance, and analysis of sales margins on the company’s constantly changing slate of products, including job costing based on the timelines to create and produce new items for customers. The new Cost Accountant will report into the Controller who in turn reports into an accomplished CFO. Swim Recruiting will provide interested candidates with a detailed job description.

- We are seeking individuals with minimum 1 year and ideally 2 to 5 years relevant experience in cost accounting, management accounting, and/or sales analysis.
- Experience in manufacturing is preferred, but we are very open to candidates from similar industries such as retail and construction- industries with inventory/products and/or consulting jobs.
- Strong Excel skills are required, as is general “tech savvy.” Exposure to Sage software (Sage X3, SEI reporting) is a plus!
- Relevant post-secondary education in accounting is highly preferred.
Working full-time out the company’s head office in Pitt Meadows. Good commute for individuals residing in Maple Ridge, Langley, the tri-cities, North-East Surrey… and, of course, Pitt Meadows!
