In this role you will provide leadership in the implementation and evaluation of new and existing security related technologies and oversee the system linkages with other Integrated Protection Service departments.

Bring your proven knowledge of appropriate legislation and provincial/national standards on protection standards, security, surveillance and the protection of privacy. Do you have knowledge of risk management concepts and practices? These skills along with your ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships will make this role for you.Responsibilities:
•Responsible for providing building design and security technology input for major construction and renovation projects; •Support the development and maintenance of standards for building design security, security sensitive areas and the application of security technology; •Communicate these standards to Facilities Planning, Facility Maintenance and Operations at the Organizations, project managers, contractors and others as part of an ongoing working relationship with these key groups. •Participate in the management and oversight of the contracted security service provider and conduct physical security risk assessments and security reviews; •Develop and administer training/education/promotion programs relating to the use of security related systems and processes; •Develop and conduct audits relating to system use/potential abuse, making modifications and develop and implement installation and programming standards for security related equipment; •Liaise with external emergency services such as police and fire departments in response to incidences and issue impacting the Organizations' staff, clients and operations; •Provide after hours on-call function for Integrated Protection Services for the Organizations, as assigned. Education and Experience:
•Diploma in Facilities Planning, Project Management, Criminal Justice and/or a related field, supplemented, •Five (5) to seven (7) years' recent related experience in administering, maintaining or installing access control/photo identification, CCTV, intrusion/duress systems and/or associated hardware and software in a large complex multi-site institutional or campus environment. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable.
