Cook (Meal Table)
Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards (consistent in looks and taste). Wash, peel, slice, chop and cut vegetables, fruit, meat, etc. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients. Monitor food quality while preparing food. Clean and sanitize kitchen (and other work area) including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
Maintains equipment, inventory, and a sanitary kitchen. Maintains food inventory.
Any other tasks required of him/her (runs food, helps with dishes, removes kitchen garbage, sweeps floors, etc.)
Verbal & Written Communication in English. Enjoy working with others. Able to stand for long periods of time. Handles Pressure, Dependability, Productive, Punctual, Good sense of Cleanliness, Confidentiality, Emotional Control, Flexibility, Significant Use of Memory, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Organizing & Planning, Positive attitude. Have basic kitchen skill and understand basic rules of hygiene, sanitation and safety in food/drink processing.
Education: Completion of high school. Food safe certification an asset.
Experience: Experience is an asset
Salary: We offer competitive compensation (above the industry standard)
Hours: Full / Part time, Monday to Friday, Weekends.
