JOB DESCRIPTION Duties:
* Lead, motivate and inspire a team of approximately 20 contract professionals and technologists responsible for managing a $600 million contract portfolio, in support of the delivery of BC Hydro's capital plan. * Provide leadership to day to day contract management activities, including monitoring contract schedules, contract change management, contract claim negotiations, cash flow forecasting, validating payment requests, tracking contract submittals and deliverables, and contract interpretation. * Monitor contractor performance and identify alternatives to address contractor non-compliance within the terms of the contract. * Ensure BC Hydro fulfills its obligations under the contract and take prompt action to mitigate claims. * Provide leadership and work guidance that fosters a collaborative, inclusive and productive work and team environment. * Develop and maintain a resource plan to adjust resources based on forecasted workloads. * Champion safety and act as a role model for setting behaviors and standards. * Initiate and lead the design and implementation of innovative strategies to enhance policies and processes. * Create a culture of continuous improvement. * Build and maintain a strong working relationship with internal stakeholders, including Supply Chain, Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Environment, Safety, and Indigenous Relations.
* University degree in business, law or related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. * Minimum of twelve (12) years progressive experience in a dynamic business environment,

including hands-on involvement in contract management, and project procurement. * Demonstrated experience leading teams for a minimum of five years. * Demonstrated experience in effectively leading teams through change. * Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including to senior management levels. * Proven ability in influencing internal and external stakeholders, managing risk and leading innovation. * One or more professional designations (ie. PMP, SCMP, IACCM) is an asset.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION * This role will report to the Services Division Manager within Capital Construction in Project Delivery. * This role is based at the BC Hydro Edmonds location in Burnaby. * A condition of employment for this job is that you maintain your Driver's License (Class 5) in good standing.
