Our client, a high precision manufacturing firm is looking for have a talented and technically savvy Account Manager to join their team.   This global firm has with locations throughout North America and Europe and offers opportunity for career growth as well as international travel.                            

Working as part of the Commercial team, the Account Manager acts as the focal point for customer contract review and management. This role is responsible for ensuring company compliance to customer contracts and acts as the lead on customer change management and claims. This role also supports in contract negotiations and helps to prepare and submit bids.

 Job Duties

  • Act as the point of contact for customers on contractual matters, including contract management and review
  • Act as a communication point between the customer and the organization
  • Monitor contract compliance by the organization and identify any areas where there are recurring issues
  • Act as the lead on customer change management and claims
  • Support Contract negotiations as requested
  • Support the sales team
  • Participate in the development and implementation of  the Business Development Strategy
  • Address and report on issues/risks to internal/external customers
  • Keep track of project budgets and supply regular reports
  • Challenge team members to find optimal solutions and to reduce costs
  • Help prepare and submit bids to current and potential customers

 Know-How and Experience

  • Degree in a related field (Business, Marketing, etc.)
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, with preference for experience in an industrial/manufacturing business environment
  • Experience with Defence Acquisition Regulations such as FARS/DFARS is preferred
  • Must be ITARS eligible
  • Proven customer negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency in English language, both written and spoken
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver presentations to current and potential customers
  • Proficiency with computers, including MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Autonomous; able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Is service-oriented and able to respond the customer in a timely, accurate, and responsive manner
  • Able to exercise good judgement in dealing with confidential information
  • Able to take initiative and manage time effectively to meet established deadlines
  • Must be able and willing to travel internationally as required
