Work Arrangements
Contract positions are available starting in the January 2022 semester. The candidate must be able to teach days and/or evenings and/or Saturdays and teach both in person at New Westminster campuses and online.

The Role
The Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration is seeking contract instructors for the Winter 2022 term.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will instruct students, facilitate learning and evaluate student progress, plan, organize and teach learning activities. The successful candidate will ensure students receive the knowledge, information and resources, to succeed by maintaining a quality, learner centered, approach to post-secondary education.

The instructor must be fully prepared to teach Introduction to Programming I ( CSIS 1175) Excel in Business ( CSIS 1190), Multimedia Web Development ( CSIS 1280), Systems Analysis and Design ( CSIS 2200) and Database Management ( CSIS 2300) as well as being able to teach at least TWO of the following 6 ( SIX ) combo COURSES :

1. CSIS 2260 Operating Systems / CSIS 2270 Virtualization & Computer Networking/ CSIS 3270 Advanced Networking/ CSIS 4270 Cloud Infrastructure OR
2. CSIS 3155 Computer Network Security/ CSIS 4470 Network Cybersecurity/ CSIS 4450 Operating Systems and Multimedia Cybersecurity/ CSIS 4460 Cloud Cybersecurity OR
3. CSIS 3175 Mobile Development/ CSIS 4175 Mobile Development II/ CSIS 3375 UX DESIGN / CSIS 4440 Mobile Cybersecurity OR
4. CSIS 2175 Java Programming/ CSIS 3275 Software Engineering/ CSIS 3475 Data Structure using Java / CSIS 4050 Advanced OOP for Business Applications/ CSIS 3300 Advanced Database OR
5. CSIS 3280 Web Based Scripting / CSIS 3380 Adv. Web Pgm - JavaScript/Ajax: OR
6. CSIS 3160 Evidence Imaging/ CSIS 3560 Scripting for Cybersecurity/ CSIS 4480 Vulnerabilities and Exploits
To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Possess a relevant PhD and/or Masters' degree from an accredited university.
- Demonstrate an excellent ability to teach at the post-secondary level.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively with colleagues in a team environment.
