Job Description

Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Contract Administrator to support the financial and operational management of a portfolio of vendor contracts. This role will help ensure contracts are managed accurately, suppliers meet their obligations, financial controls are followed, and spending is monitored closely. The successful candidate will combine strong contract management experience with financial analysis, stakeholder coordination, and advanced systems skills. This is a hands-on role focused on contract performance, reconciliation, risk management, reporting, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage low to medium complexity contracts from an operational and financial perspective.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure contractual obligations are being met.
  • Review financial data, contract usage, invoices, and expenditures to support accurate reconciliation.
  • Identify contract, financial, or performance discrepancies and take timely action to resolve issues.
  • Track contract spending against budgets, forecasts, and financial control requirements.
  • Prepare accurate reports and business insights related to contract performance and expenditure.
  • Work closely with vendors, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and support contract compliance.
  • Maintain strong working relationships across suppliers, stakeholders, and supply chain teams.
  • Provide guidance to internal groups on sourcing, procurement, and contract management matters.
  • Apply contract management and supply chain practices to support value, compliance, and effective service delivery.
  • Use SAP and other business systems to analyze information, monitor activity, and support reporting.
  • Support forecasting and planning for contract usage and future spending.
  • Identify opportunities to improve contract administration, financial controls, reporting, and related processes.
  • Help ensure contract activities align with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable procurement requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of contract management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience monitoring contract performance, identifying issues, and taking timely action to manage risk.
  • Strong financial reconciliation, analysis, and reporting skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Experience with Dynamics or similar business systems.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with vendors, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement law and supply chain concepts is an asset.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management principles is an asset.
  • Experience forecasting, monitoring, and reporting on contract usage, budgets, and financial controls is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Vancouver, BC.

Remuneration

  • $49/hr contract rate.
