In this role as the Consultant, Statistical Reporting & Analytics, you will coordinate and collate Fraser Health's corporate financial and statistical reporting processes and financial data collection to support corporate objectives. You will maintain, implement, and review statistical processes across the organization while recommending improvements and changes. This role will support the ongoing management of statistics and reporting processes at FH and will be a pivotal role in developing new reporting relationships and methodologies.
Utilize your demonstrated experience in reporting & analysis as you:
•Lead the reconciliation process for operational statistics in the GL to source data and reports; provide high-level analysis of activity variances and statistical indicators as part of regular and ad hoc reporting to the FH Executive, Board and outside agencies. •Provide advice, interpretation and resource support to Finance in the application and use of the statistical collection and reporting system; provide support in the analysis and costing of new programs and program changes; act as a resource to the organization by preparing and presenting educational and support materiel on statistics. •Ascertain that the statistics collected and reported are consistent with the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) standards for management information systems (MIS); represent FHA on Ministry advisory committees or working groups dealing with MIS guideline revisions and issues. •Analyze and collate financial and workload analyses; write conclusive summaries and ensure consistent reporting of financial information across FH. •Use your advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office to build and maintain applications to support the daily activities of the Statistical Reporting & Analytics department. •Lead small to medium sized information system projects by adhering to project management methodologies, managing project timelines, facilitating change management strategies, defining tasks, identifying resource needs, and reporting on project status to the Manager. Participates in the project design phases as required. •Represent FH by participating on internal and external committees, organizations and advisory activities, as assigned. •Provide advice and financial analysis to all levels of management as required.
As the successful candidate, you have:
•a recognized professional accounting designation such as a CA, CMA, CGA or CPA and/or university degree in Business, Finance or Commerce •Five (5) years' recent related financial planning/accounting experience in a large complex organization, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
This is a Permanent Full-Time position, located at Central City in Surrey, BC.
