Primary role:

Although we wear many hats at Kimco, your primary role is to install, troubleshoot and maintain a wide variety of electrical systems. Provide technical knowledge and training, troubleshooting ability and resident knowledge. The ability to direct and organize a team to properly execute a project to completion, on time and on budget.

Candidates should posses the following attributes:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a foreman for commercial and institutional projects
  • Red-Seal Journeyman Electrician
  • FSR Certification (an asset)
  • Experience managing client and contractor expectations
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Ability to provide technical knowledge and training to apprentices
  • Strong communication skills
  • Adapt quickly to a changing environment
  • Proficient with computer, software, cellphones, etc.

    • Ability to accurately plan, organize, and order materials for your job site

    Your responsibilities will include:
    • Manage and lead crews on large scale projects
    • Coordinate with all site trades to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget
    • Conduct weekly toolbox meetings and ensure OHS safety protocols are being followed
    • Inspected electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, to ensure compliance with codes 
    • Plan, organize, direct, and control daily operations including completion of work scope and on-site inventory management 
    • Reading and interpreting drawings and schematics
