Compensation Analyst - Remote

Role Description
Kal Tire's Human Resources team is growing. We have an exciting new opportunity for a Compensation Analyst to join our Total Rewards team. Reporting directly to our Manager, Total Rewards, the role will be supporting with a number of foundational enterprise wide compensation projects, as well as ongoing program administration for various client groups within the company. Responsibilities
  • Maintain the company's job architecture, including job families, career streams and levels, job titling standards, the pay grading system and its alignment with variable pay, job classification guide charts, and alignment of pay ranges
  • Conduct job evaluations and compensation analysis in partnership with HR Operations to support ongoing talent acquisition and organizational design needs
  • Support with administering & communicating the total compensation program with such functions as:
    • Lead all aspects of the survey submission process including understanding survey methodology, job matching, data gathering, data validation, benchmarking, and preparation of data submission files
    • Collect and analyze survey data to benchmark the company's position; model various budgeting scenarios; and recommend changes to salary structures as required
    • Assist with merit and variable pay processes
  • Support the business and HR Operations team with compensation requests, provide advice and recommendations, help resolve related issues
  • Help develop and maintain team member communications related to compensation
  • Support and contribute to compensation projects with research and analysis, as required
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline or automate processes to continuously improve service delivery
Work Experience
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in compensation program administration and analysis
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of base salary, total cash, and total direct compensation plan design and administration
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to translate results into meaningful recommendations and reports, intermediate analytical and modeling skills
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial compensation legislation
  • Experience with Peoplesoft would be considered an asset
Education
  • Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate with a focus in Human Resources
  • CCP or working towards CCP designation
Other Requirements
  • Willing to travel when required.
