Position Summary
Are you a registered Rehabilitation Assistant looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Primary Care department.

In accordance with established vision and values of the organization and under the clinical direction of the Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist, the Community Rehabilitation Assistant functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the client. The Community Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs, and assists the Therapist in monitoring and evaluating client's progression. The Community Rehabilitation Assistant assists clients/patients or residents with activities of daily living, and implements group and individual programs in clients' homes and other community/facility sites

Primary Care Networks are partnerships between the Divisions of Family Practice representing BC's family physicians, the regional health authorities, the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) and local community partners, along with other community providers such as nurse practitioners. All partners are working together in their local communities and collectively to redesign B.C.'s primary and community care system so that it works better for patients and health-care providers.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 08:00 to 16:00

Qualfications
• Grade 12, a certificate from a recognized office administration certificate program, plus one-year recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to relate well to people of all ages.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work.
• Ability to type 50 wpm.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to deal with the others in a professional manner using tact and good judgment.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of general office procedures and the ability to operate related equipment including computer applications.
