The Social Media Operations Team is looking for a dynamic, expressive, willing-to-face-all-challenges expert in Consumer & Business Operations to join our team of culture-shifting brand ambassadors serving customers across the internet's social platforms.

Working in partnership with operational teams, Marketing, Corporate Communications and Marketing Communications, you'll create world-class experiences for our customers through Twitter, Facebook, the TELUS Talks Business Blog, the TELUS Neighbourhood and external blogs and forums. You'll communicate customer-impacting service information, anticipate customer needs, and liaise all around the organization to meet the requirements of our business and customer communities.

You Will:
    •Develop, lead and execute on communications plans based on opportunities identified through social media •Use TELUS' distinct social media voice to help customers get the most from their TELUS products and services •Create content informed by operational needs to supporting contact avoidance goals •Engage in active social listening for TELUS-directed inquiries and matters related to partners, competitors and our industry •Demonstrate engagement and leadership through social interactions and content creation
You Have:
    •A strong understanding of social media platforms, activities and best practices •Comprehensive experience in BCX and/or Consumer operations, products, solutions and organizational design •Familiarity with trouble reporting or equivalent systems •Strong research, writing and editing skills •Familiarity with a customer service environment •Confidence in handling crisis situations •Strengths in strategic planning, project management and problem-solving •Proven ability in handling the stress of client expectations •Strong competency in the Google and Microsoft Office suite of productivity applications •Proficiency in presentation creation and delivery •An articulated career plan that centers around social or traditional media

    •The ability to build relationships at all levels, with an aptitude to guide and lead cross-functional teams on projects •A positive, collaborative and friendly attitude •The ability to work independently with minimal supervision •A creative mind and the drive to initiate your own projects •The ability to work effectively in demanding environments while handling multiple tasks, prioritizing activities and meeting deadlines •An aptitude for recognizing and creating sales leads, competitive differentiation, brand ambassadorship opportunities and customer satisfaction •The ability to organize strategic plans, projects and information logically and succinctly •Ability to multi-task and rapidly shift priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment •The understanding required to quickly learn new technology applications

Required Professional Designation/Certification
    •Post-secondary degree/education in a PR or Marketing role
