Ongoing growth plans, which will translate to long-term opportunity for career development for the individual in this role. This is a diverse and well-rounded comms job, with both short-term/hands-on and long-term/strategic accountabilities. 

Who- the Company: 
Our client is a multi-national and privately-held company headquartered in Greater Vancouver with over 1000 employees. The company has a few main divisions and over 15 entities, plus joint ventures. Several of the company’s operations most local candidates will likely to have heard of. It’s a very complex, well-established, and successful company. 

What- the Role: 
Due to the company’s ongoing growth, the Company is seeking a new Communications Manager who will collaborate with external and internal stakeholders across the business. The Manager will report into a Vice-President and will partner as needed with external marketing and communicators service providers.  
The portfolio of responsibilities is varied and includes revising the business’ multi-year communications strategy, website redesign and rebranding, community relations, managing communications projects, representing the business at industry events, etc. SWIM will provide interested candidates with a detailed job description! 

Who- the Candidate: 
  • At least 5 years of recent and relevant experience in both internal and external communications. 
  • Relevant post-secondary education. 
  • Experience in a complex multi-entity business with operations across the province of BC is highly preferred. 
  • Experience working for a company that is growing (organically and through M&A) is an asset. 
  • Systems savvy, with experience using the full MS Office Suite, various Adobe products, Canva, etc. 
Headquartered in Greater Vancouver. Good commute for someone living in North Vancouver, East Vancouver, West Vancouver, Burnaby, etc. Around a 20-minute drive from downtown Vancouver, depending on traffic. There is some hybrid work-from-home flexibility in this role- please discuss with SWIM

How Much:  
Very generous base salary commensurate with work experience and relevant education/qualifications- please discuss with SWIM. In addition to the base salary, there is also a bonus (partly based on company profitability, partly based on individual performance), 4 weeks vacation, PD support, and a robust defined contribution pension plan.
