Our client, a global banking leader is looking for a Commercial Lending Team Lead to join their high performing team in Vancouver on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Mandarin and has an excellent understanding of local SME business. In this role, you will act as a charge of the overall growth of the commercial banking and loan portfolio within Vancouver area. Responsibilities:

• Identify, acquire, and develop new business opportunities related to commercial lending and financing
• Build long-term profitable loan portfolio with existing clients
• Contribute to and support the companies high growth strategy
• Develop and execute individual marketing strategies
• Maintain strong relationship based selling skills, client relationship management, and networking skills
• Exercise sound credit judgment to ensure high-quality loans through sales focused strategy to generate high-quality loan proposals

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary qualification, or equivalent work experience
• 10-15 years of relevant local experience
• Experience in commercial account management and commercial lending is a must
• Strong knowledge of commercial credit rules and guidelines
• Fluency in Mandarin is required
• Excellent knowledge of the marketplace, particularly with respect to SME and Mid-Market commercial lending space
• Relationship driven, strong ability to establish, maintain, and manage client relations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
