About Our Client

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal for our client in the Downtown Vancouver core, an international law firm specializing in litigation and corporate matters. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to expand their career and join a team-oriented firm that values its employees' growth and stability.

As a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal, you will be responsible for a variety of duties ranging from closing transactions to dealing with municipalities and strata corporations. The successful candidate will possess intermediate to senior level experience and be knowledgeable about current relevant legislation and government regulations and possess in-depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles, and British Columbia Rules of Court.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, draft and review agreements, contracts and financing documents
  • Prepare and issue all documents from start to completion on all commercial real estate transactions
  • Commercial purchase and sale transactions, Residential Purchase and Sale transactions, Residential Project Conveyances, Asset Purchase and Sale transactions.
  • Review of leases and leasing agreements
  • Summarize due diligence
  • Responsible for independent file management
  • Liaise with internal and external parties involved with the proceedings
  • Manage trust accounting and reporting

Education and Qualifications

  • Paralegal Certification
  • 5+ years of previous experience working as a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
  • Knowledgeable about current relevant legislation and government regulations, as well as in depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles, and British Columbia Rules of Court.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate at all levels of an organization
  • The ability to multi-task and manage tasks under a time-sensitive environment
  • The ability to practice sound discretion and judgment at all times
  • The ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy
