The Finance & Risk Management Division provides financial and administrative services to the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, the BC Transportation Financing Authority (BCTFA) and other crown corporations. The branch provides expertise in financial planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting, financial policy and procedures development, financial systems support, financing and debt management services, revenue, accounts payable and receivables management. The division also provides the Ministry with facilities management, and financial oversight of several crown corporations.

In this role you will oversee the Ministry's accounting systems (accounts payable/accounts receivable); develop, implement and maintain ministry specific account processing procedures; and ensure the integrity and maintenance of related financial records.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:


• Secondary school graduation or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably with some post-secondary accounting courses.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in accounts receivable or payable in a computerized environment.

Experience must include:
  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Developing and maintaining financial systems, procedures and standards
  • Strong experience working as a member of a team
  • UsingMS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook

• Preference may be given to candidates that have experience with CAS Oracle.
