Under the general supervision of the Director of Operations or Team Leader, this position is responsible for developing, organizing, and supervising all financial and administrative functions required in support of the office in accordance with operating policies and procedures and within the various Acts and related legislation.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
  • Secondary school graduation (Grade 12) or equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum of two (2) years administrative/clerical experience
  • Supervisory experience leading others, scheduling staff, allocating work duties, managing employee performance and delivering training, and direction
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Applications - Experience/training in keyboarding/word processing, spreadsheet and other standard computer applications. (i.e. MS Office - Outlook, Word and Excel)

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
  • Three (3) years' or more of administrative clerical experience
  • One (1) year or more of experience leading others, scheduling staff, allocating work duties, managing employee performance and delivering training, and direction
  • Applicants who have Indigenous heritage (First Nations, Metis or Inuit) with the required combination of education and experience

Proviso/Willingness Statements:
  • Must possess and maintain a valid BC class 5 driver's licence (without restrictions)
  • Travel between Smithers and Hazelton may be required monthly in a company vehicle
