The next exciting step in your administrative careerPrince George Youth Custody Services is one of two secure/open custody centres in the Province (along with Burnaby Youth Custody Services) that provide a key component of the youth justice system. They provide a safe and healthy environment with a range of services that respond to the needs of youth, thereby promoting lawful behaviour and contributing to public safety.
Under the general direction of the Business Manager, the primary duties are to provide records management support and trust account functions for the Centre. May perform other related duties as necessary, including providing relief services in other areas of the office as needed (i.e. Payroll and/or Accounts Payable).

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below: - Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED).
- Experience in records management.
- Experience in financial reconciliations (i.e. bank reconciliations).
- Experience in word processing, spreadsheets and other standard computer applications.
Preference may be given to applicants with: - Experience working in a Custody Centre/Institutional environment.
- Experience administering and reconciling trust accounts.
- Experience with the computerized CORNET System.
- Experience administering government payroll systems, such as Time and Leave.
- Experience with government records keeping systems: EDRMS, ARCS, ORCS.
- Applicants who have Indigenous Heritage (First Nations, Metis, Inuit) and who also meet the minimum Education and Experience requirements.
Provisos: - Must have a class 5 BC Drivers license
- Must be willing to work within the secure perimeter of a youth custody centre, with exposure to young offenders.
- May perform other related duties as necessary, including providing relief services in other areas of the office as needed.
