In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, and standards of professional practice as outlined by the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology, and the American College of Sports Medicine this position is responsible for designing, conducting and supervising exercise sessions for primary care rehabilitation clients. Reporting to the Team Lead/Manager or designate and under the general supervision of a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist and in collaboration with an interprofessional team, the Clinical Exercise Physiologist assists participants to attain recommended fitness, and lifestyle goals by providing education and counseling. Provides support and input into program planning, development, evaluation, and outreach and delivery of community programming to client groups.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: 08:30 to 16:30, rotating
Houston Health Centre has an array of services under one roof including urgent care, public health, home and community care, mental health and clinics for women's health and physiotherapy. Houston Residential care consists of four permanent beds with a common area and shared kitchen space and secured outdoor space. The care home is staffed with one LPN and one Care Aid. We also have two short stay beds for Respite and Palliative Care.

Qualfications•A Bachelor's degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, or Exercise Sciences from a recognized program.
•Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist with either the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) or the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
