JOB SUMMARY

JOB DESCRIPTION

Clinical Leadership & Program Management

· Champion a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization and the communities we serve, engaging in ongoing professional development.

· Provide visionary leadership and direction to the clinical team, ensuring excellence in professional practice and client safety.

· Oversee orientation, in-service training, and mentorship for clinical staff, fostering continuous professional development.

· Manage staff performance through regular feedback, performance reviews, and corrective actions when necessary.

· Administer collective agreements and represent the organization in grievance processes and union-management relations.

· Design and lead clinical program development, quality improvement initiatives, and performance management strategies to enhance client care.

· Collaborate with the Director of Operations to develop and the clinical department’s budget.

· Optimize clinical staffing levels to meet contract requirements and ensure effective service delivery.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and funding requirements.
• Oversee risk management processes to safeguard clients and staff.
• Implement and monitor quality assurance and continuous improvement programs.

Strategic Planning & Board Collaboration

· Work closely with the Board of Directors and the Director of Operations to develop and execute strategic initiatives.

· Provide regular performance reports on clinical programs, outcomes and impact.

· Contribute to policy development and decision-making at the leadership level.

· Advocate for resources and funding to enhance service delivery and program expansion.

Community Engagement & Partnerships

· Build and maintain relationships with community partners, government agencies, and funding bodies.

· Represent the organization in professional and public forums to enhance visibility and engagement.

· Develop initiatives to improve service accessibility and awareness.

· Implement strategies to engage clients, families, and community partners in service planning and delivery.

· Ensure adherence to evidence-based clinical practices with measurable treatment outcomes.

· Foster a supportive and safe environment for both clients and staff.

· Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience

· Master’s degree in clinical social work, psychology, clinical counselling, or a related health field with a clinical focus.

· Minimum of 4 years of clinical leadership experience at the management level, in mental health, addictions, or a related field within a non-profit or healthcare setting.

· At least 6 years of clinical experience, including supervision and training within multi-program social services or healthcare environments.

· Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, mental health and addictions services, and community-based interventions.

· Exceptional conflict resolution, critical thinking, facilitation, and presentation skills.

· Experience in human resources management, including performance evaluations and working in a unionized environment.

· Proficiency in program development, staff supervision and regulatory compliance.

· Excellent leadership, communication and organizational abilities.

· Expertise in strategic decision-making, quality improvement, and risk management.

· Demonstrated ability to develop and implement impactful clinical programs.

· Proven track record in relationship-building, collaboration, and mentoring to achieve program goals.

· Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

· Satisfactory and current Criminal Background and Vulnerable Sector Screening.

· Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
