Work in a busy healthcare environment where your daily role involves collaboration with the Health and Safety Team. You are responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of workplace safety prevention programs and initiatives at our affiliated sites within Fraser Health.Build your career experience as you:
•Assist in developing, implementing, monitoring and auditing various OH&S programs at our affiliated sites throughout Fraser Health. •Consult with leadership at the affiliated sites on health & safety issues and assist them to meet strategic goals, which will prevent workplace injuries and exposures. •Identify, assess and recommend mitigation of workplace hazards. •Prepare applicable reports, and maintain various records of client interactions. •Assist with the completion of workplace incident reports. •Provide advice and guidance to the leadership at affiliated sites regarding the interpretation and administration of the Workers Compensation Act, Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, as well as other legislation and policies. We will be looking for you to have the following:
•Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from a recognized program. •Registration as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) preferred. •Five years recent related experience in a large multi-union environment. •valid B.C. Driver's License and use of a personal vehicle An equivalent combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
This is a temp full time
position available till 31/May/2022, based at our Central City offices in Surrey, BC
