Spend your fall term gaining hands-on experience on real infrastructure projects that help shape communities across British Columbia. As a Civil Engineering Co-op Student with our Land Development & Municipal Engineering team in Kamloops, you'll collaborate with experienced professionals, apply your academic knowledge in a practical setting, and build the skills that will support your growth as a future engineer.
Your Impact
- Support civil design and analysis for land development and municipal infrastructure projects.
- Assist with preparing drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Participate in site visits to observe construction activities and gain field experience.
- Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and project managers on multidisciplinary teams.
- Apply engineering fundamentals to solve real-world challenges.
- Contribute to safe, sustainable, and community-focused infrastructure solutions.
- Learn WSP standards, tools, and best practices in a professional consulting environment.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering or related undergraduate program.
- Completed at least one year of post-secondary engineering studies.
- Basic understanding of civil engineering principles (grading, servicing, or transportation is an asset).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work in both office and field environments.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $24.00 - $32.25 per hour
MB & ON: $22.50 - $30.25 per hour
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $21.50 - $30.25 per hour
