Our client is a medical clinic based in Richmond, BC. They are looking for an energetic and motivated, certified Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join their team. The MOA will be responsible for routine administrative tasks to ensure an efficiently operated patient centered clinic. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to work with a prestigious team.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, with the right candidate being available to start immediately.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm with a 1 hour lunch

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Wage: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour (Negotiable with skills and experience)

Location: Richmond, BC (Transit accessible)

  • Working alongside physician and other health care provider to perform clerical duties
  • Answer calls and greet patients in a helpful, respectful and efficient manner
  • Update and file patients' medical records
  • Fill out insurance forms
  • Handle correspondence; format and proof letters
  • Schedule appointments
  • Maintain electronic medical records
  • Coordinate patient care through the clinic: checking in, answering questions, providing post-appointment and monitoring the waiting room
  • Perform all other related clinical, administrative tasks or special tasks as required by clinic management


  • Completion of a recognized MOA certified program/diploma
  • A Team Player
  • Professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a great attitude
  • Detail oriented and Highly organized
  • Experience with an EMR system and Billing (Profile)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages an asset
  • Understanding of medical clinic operations
  • High tolerance for fast-paced environments
