RED SEAL MILLWRIGHT – FORESTRY INDUSTRY
NOTE: THIS IS NOT A FLY IN FLY OUT ROLE. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE YOU TO RELOCATE TO THE B.C INTERIOR – RELOCATION COSTS WILL BE COVERED BY THE COMPANY.
Location: BC Interior/North
Transferrable Industry: Any wood products or heavy manufacturing (not suitable for construction millwrights)
Salary: $38 - $40/hour

The millwright will be responsible for the repair, modification, fabrication and maintenance of all the mechanical equipment relevant to the mills operations.
Based on blueprints and schematic drawings assemble and install new equipment
Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance
Follow work orders and work closely with other members of the mill’s maintenance departments ensuring that the mill is running on optimal levels and production targets are met
Adhere to company’s safety policies when performing all tasks
Must be Red Seal certified
Must have experience working in a Sawmill, Planner Mill or any other forestry manufacturing environment
Must have PLC troubleshooting skills
Must be willing to work on any shift
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary $38 - $40 per hour
Vacation 2-3 weeks depending on experience
