Triangle Community Resources is seeking to fill the position for our Employment Services and Supports Program contracts in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Langley and Maple Ridge, BC

The Career Practitioner/Facilitator positions will be part of a team that will be providing employability skills through facilitation and one-on-one services for our 10-week Job Readiness Program for eligible unemployed and underemployed individuals.

The program consists of an integrated program of Life Skills, Vocational Assessments, Career Planning, Job Readiness Skills and Job Search Skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate scheduled employability Skills workshops and vocational assessments in a group setting to address barriers to employment.
  • Provide one-on-one employment counselling for individuals prior to and after program for support and assistance in employment search, training options, assess needs and address barriers to clients goal planning.
  • Provide one-on-one intake interviews and co-facilitate orientation sessions for program overview for all potential participants
  • Assist in the development of curriculum and program scheduling
  • Research and stay up to date with local labour market information to apply to program content, active job search and potential training options
  • Market program to prospective participants, referral agencies and employers
  • Create Next Step documentation with client supporting with any short term training, supports or job wage subsidy supports.
  • Create and maintain client reporting through Ministry data base for tracking purposes and statistical outcomes


  • Proven certification as Career Practitioner with several years’ experience specifically working with and supporting Multi Barriered unemployed clients
  • Skilled with facilitating employability skills, labour market and job search skills workshops
  • Demonstrated experience in administering and interpreting a variety of Career Decision Making assessments
  • Excellent knowledge of the Local and Provincial Labour Market, provincial and federal programming
  • Efficient computer and typing skills, knowledgeable with Microsoft Programs and data bases
