Job Summary
The Team
The North Fraser Eating Disorders Team is a dedicated and supportive group of professionals serving the communities of Burnaby, Port Moody, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Anmore, Belcara, New Westminster, Pitt Meadows, and Maple Ridge. This established multidisciplinary team is committed to providing compassionate care for individuals with moderate to severe eating disorders. Working closely with community partners, such as healthcare providers, child and family welfare workers, and school staff, the team ensures comprehensive support for each client's unique needs. The team's work makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those who are most medically vulnerable, driven by their shared passion for making a positive impact.
The Role
As the Team Leader, you'll supervise and support a skilled team of clinical staff who provide care and treatment for children and youth experiencing complex eating disorders. You will stay current on best practices in mental health and eating disorders by reviewing the latest research, collaborating with experts, and engaging in professional development. This role also partners with healthcare professionals and community partners to provide a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach that prioritizes client care. This position offers a unique opportunity to expand your clinical skills in a fast-paced, wraparound care setting that values growth, collaboration, and supportive teamwork.

About this Position:
This is a full time temporary opportunity until January 1, 2026. This temporary opportunity may be extended or may become permanent. Board and lodging and relocation expenses do not apply.
This position is based in Port Moody and provides service to Maple Ridge, Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, Port Moody, Burnaby and New Westminster. Travel between these communities is required.
This position is also posted as a SPO MH 30 under REQ 117655 and an LP 6A under REQ 117657
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two (2) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing and registered to practice nursing under the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- NOTE: If this education was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services ( ICES ). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in the provision of mental health services to children, youth and their families.
- Minimum three (3) months of consecutive experience supervising staff (supervising practicum students may be considered equivalent).
- Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver's licence with no restriction or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province).
Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
- One (1) or more years of experience in the provision of mental health services for eating disorders to children, youth and their families.
- Three (3) or more months of experience supervising staff in the delivery of mental health services. Further preference may be given for experience supervising staff in the delivery of mental health services specific to eating disorders (supervising practicum students may be considered equivalent).
